Gamze Yalçin

Gamze Yalçın (b. 1987, Istanbul) graduated in 2010 from Mimar Sinan Fine Art University as an Interior Architect. Since 2014, her work has focused primarily on painting and public art. Her works have been shown in various shows in Turkey, Germany and Spain. Currently Gamze lives and works in Berlin.

During the residency, Gamze's work has become a research on the interaction between color and landscape in the surroundings of Grotta. She has created a large textile series that open a dialogue within the space. Playing with formats and materials, her textiles installations become part of the Sierra de Aracena's landscape.
